Adidas have got so much right since reuniting with Newcastle United.
The Magpies changed kit providers over the summer, with Castore making way for the return of Adidas.
They are an iconic brand on Tyneside, with Adidas making some of Newcastle United‘s best ever kits.
Since their return, Toon fans have lapped up everything that they have produced. The Newcastle United home kit delighted fans, while there has been nods to the past with the away kits.
The white third kid is pretty retro, with some fans marvelling at Newcastle using the old badge rather than the current crest.
The final kit to be released this summer was the away one, and it might be the pick of the lot. Newcastle have thrown it back to the 90s, with Eddie Howe’s players donning maroon and navy hoops just like David Ginola did back in the day.

What Adidas have planned for Newcastle’s 2025/26 home kit
The return of Adidas to St James’ Park has been amazing. The German brand has not missed a beat.
However, that might be about to change for the 2025/26 season.
According to Footy Headlines, Adidas are going to use a shepherd’s check pattern for the black stripes on next season’s home kit.
That would be instead of just a block strip of black, as is tradition.
Footy Headlines have done a mock-up of what the stripes could look like, and it does not make for good viewing.
While some fans may like the change, I am not a fan. It breaks away from tradition, and feels like change for the sake of it.
The last time Newcastle tweaked their black and white stripes was in 2015. The black stripes had dashes of blue on them as well, matching the blue used for the Wonga sponsor. That campaign ended with the Magpies being relegated from the Premier League.
While the kit ‘leak’ is just a mock-up, what Footy Headlines are reporting on Adidas’ plans for next season’s home shirt is certainly not encouraging.
Newcastle to become an Adidas elite club
While the early suggestions surrounding next season’s kit are nothing to get excited about, there is some positive news regarding Newcastle United’s relationship with Adidas.
Footy Headlines reported earlier in October that Newcastle United are going to become one of Adidas’ elite teams, joining the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Becoming an elite club could result in Newcastle having a third kit with the trefoil logo, like the aforementioned teams do this season.
