Newcastle United will be taking on one of Europe’s biggest clubs in Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night, but an official from an even bigger club will also be in attendance.

The Magpies are taking on PSG in their first home Champions League game in 20 years, in what is set to be a very special night at St James’ Park.

The atmosphere will be absolutely bouncing, as Newcastle look to build on their 0-0 draw with AC Milan in their group opener.

This game is arguably even tougher, as we will be taking on a side that includes the best player on the planet right now in Kylian Mbappe.

All eyes will be on the World Cup winner, including those of a Real Madrid persuasion…

Newcastle stars Isak and Bruno to be scouted during PSG game

According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid’s chief scout Juni Calafat is going to be at St James’ Park for Newcastle United vs Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The report states that he will be taking a close look at three players, one of which is Mbappe.

However, the other two are of a Newcastle persuasion. The report from Defensa Central claims that he will be watching Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes.

Both are set to start for the Magpies. The former will lead the line in Callum Wilson’s absence, while the latter is our key cog in the middle of the park.

We will need both players to shine if we are to get a result against PSG, but it sounds like an elite performance could actually make Isak and Bruno targets for Real Madrid.

However, we should take the Real Madrid chief’s presence as a compliment. The fact that we have two players who Los Blancos might want to buy speaks volumes about how good our recruitment has been over the past couple of years.

Both players have enjoyed decent starts to the season. The 24-year-old striker is Newcastle’s top scorer with five goals in all competitions, while Brazil international Bruno has been outstanding during the Magpies’ previous five games.
