Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff has issued a warning to Paris Saint-Germain ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash at St James’ Park.
For the first time in 20 years, Newcastle are going to be playing a home game in the Champions League this week. The Magpies kicked off their return with a 0-0 draw against AC Milan, and next up is PSG at St James’ Park.
It is a mouthwatering contest, and the type fans dreamed about when Eddie Howe‘s side finished in the top four last season.
It will be an extremely challenging game for Newcastle, particularly because some key players are going to be missing. Sven Botman has been ruled out, while Callum Wilson looks set to be absent due to a hamstring problem.
But while big players are missing, Newcastle will feel like they have an ace up their sleeve as they prepare to welcome PSG to Tyneside.

Sean Longstaff braced for ‘bouncing’ Newcastle fans against PSG
Ahead of the Champions League clash with PSG, Longstaff has spoke to the Athletic. The 25-year-old believes that the atmosphere is going to be incredible, and thinks that it could give he and his teammates an edge.
“The atmosphere is going to be absolutely bouncing,” he said.
“They won’t be expecting it.”

Champions League fever is gripping Newcastle
It truly is going to be a special night for Newcastle United fans. For many inside St James’ Park, it will be their first time seeing the Magpies compete in the Champions League. It will be the first time hearing that famous anthem that left Jacob Murphy grinning inside the San Siro.
Champions League fever is gripping Tyneside, and it should lead to a lot of noise being made before, during and hopefully after Wednesday night’s game with PSG.
A lot has been said about Newcastle’s home games in the UCL. It is where we can cause an upset. The atmosphere can and will give the players an edge, while the hope is that it can also shock the opposition.
Longstaff hopes that happens against PSG on Wednesday night, as he prepares to go head-to-head with some of Europe’s best.
