PIF could make a truly unthinkable move and sign a Newcastle United player who Eddie Howe is planning on building a team around this summer.
The Magpies want to be busy in the summer transfer window, but have been faced with several roadblocks in their attempts to sign players.
Newcastle United were priced out of a deal for Bryan Mbeumo, while in June, Brazilian striker Joao Pedro rejected Eddie Howe for Enzo Maresca at Chelsea.
While Anthony Elanga has signed, Howe appears to be frustrated by the lack of arrivals at Newcastle, despite the work being put in by his recruitment team.
Newcastle look like they have missed out on Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool, adding to the misery which has already compiled this summer. With the Magpies eager to sign much more than they have already, PIF have just struck them with a major transfer blow which could derail their plans for the summer.

PIF considering a move for Newcastle United star Alexander Isak
Alexander Isak has been no stranger to transfer interest over the last week. On Tuesday, Liverpool enquired about Isak and the possibility of signing him for £120m this summer. However, Arne Slot was met with a resounding ‘no’ from the Magpies.
Keith Downie suggested Newcastle signing Ekitike was succession planning for Isak, but Howe will have to change his plans if that was the case.
Now, in a move nobody could have predicted, Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Al-Hilal are interested in signing Isak from Newcastle this summer.
The report states that the PIF-owned team are looking to strengthen their attack this summer, and are considering a ‘massive’ offer to try and convince both the club and the player to agree on a move.
However, Newcastle will likely defy their owners and insist that Isak is not for sale this summer.

Alexander Isak is Yasir Al-Rumayyan’s favourite Newcastle United player
Elanga shared his delight at training with Isak at Newcastle, but it could all come crashing down if PIF were to put in an offer the club simply could not refuse.
Saudi teams are one of the few who could afford Isak at the price Newcastle want for him right now. Reports suggest Newcastle are looking for at least £150m for Isak this summer, so it will take a serious offer to get him away from Tyneside.
While PIF are hoping to make Isak theirs this summer, Yasir Al-Rumayyan may look to put a quick stop to any rumours. It has been confirmed that Isak is Al-Rumayyan’s favourite player, and he has already urged Newcastle against selling the Swede this summer.
Furthermore, Isak is due to undergo contract talks with Newcastle this summer, so any interest will surely vanish once that is signed.
