Having endured a very tough summer window, Newcastle fans are hoping for a busy January on Tyneside.
Despite their difficulties in the summer, the Magpies have enjoyed an impressive start to the season under Eddie Howe.
Currently, in the hunting pack for Champions League football, fans will be hoping Newcastle can strengthen this January and secure a top-four spot.
Newcastle are targeting a striker, winger, and goalkeeper in an attempt to bolster their first-team ranks, whether they will be able to do that however is another question, as PSR looms over St James’ Park.
Financial restrictions aside though, here are all the latest news and rumours surrounding Newcastle’s transfer activity.
PSG open to selling Marco Asensio amid Newcastle interest

As Miguel Almiron nears the exit door, the Magpies are seemingly already lining up the Paraguyan’s replacement.
Newcastle are reportedly in talks with Marco Asensio following news that the Spaniard would be willing to leave France this January.
The 28-year-old has struggled for consistent game since joining Paris-Saint Germain and could be available for as little as £24.9m – a figure Newcastle may be willing to pay.
Newcastle have ‘strong interest’ in Tyler Dibling

Newcastle’s right wing has been the subject of discussion for some time now, with a whole host of wingers being linked with the Magpies.
In terms of possible targets, Southampton’s Tyler Dibling is reportedly on Newcastle’s radar as the Tyneside outfit eye up a 2025 move for the youngster.
Craig Hope has also added fuel to the fire recently by claiming Newcastle hold a ‘strong interest’ in Dibling but a January move seems unlikely.
Magpies eye move for Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi

Newcastle’s transfer business has been mixed over recent years, but one plus has been Sandro Tonali.
Given the success of the midfielder’s move, the Magpies are seemingly targeting another Italian international – with Davide Frattesi attracting interest from Newcastle.
With that being said though, any move for the Inter man will only come if the Toon Army were to lose Bruno Guimaraes – with Frattesi expected to cost around £40m.
