One Newcastle United player could now be in line for an international call-up after his brilliant recent form that has earned him a lot of recognition.
Lewis Miley has been enjoying an extended run in the Newcastle side due to a number of injuries in the squad and is finally starting to get some of the recognition he deserves.
A new report from The Telegraph now suggests that Miley could be in line for a call-up to England’s Under-21s team should his run in the Newcastle team continue.
Miley is now getting what he deserves
The news broke recently that Newcastle are now looking at tying Miley down to a new long-term contract with the midfielder proving to be a special talent in the last few games.
It’s nothing less than he deserves after putting in some stellar performances in the last few weeks, without which Newcastle would have struggled even more than they have been.
Now, Miley also faces being part of England’s Under-21 side despite being just 17 and previously representing the Under-19s side just earlier this season.
It’s a huge indicator of where the young man currently is in his career and how he is not only being admired by those at the club but now also on an international level.

Newcastle could start to build their future around Miley
Of course, the current Newcastle team will look to be improved on in January and the summer with high quality players who can take this team to the next level.
The owners, however, would be foolish to not consider Miley in these discussions and figure out how they will look to use him as a big part of the future of this club after what he’s shown to be capable of already.
To be this composed on the ball and dealing with high pressure situations at 17-years-old is nothing short of astounding, and the great news is that he can only improve alongside some of his brilliant teammates.
Should he become part of the England youth side, Miley can hope to develop even further and be exposed to more top quality players, so it can only be positive from a Newcastle perspective.
