There is going to be a big change at Newcastle United this summer, and one that Toon fans are very excited about.

Toon officials are doing all they can to grow the club’s commercial revenue, and they are certainly doing that with their new kit provider.

Newcastle United are set to bring a premature end to their deal with British kit manufacturer Castore, and will instead be working with global mega brand Adidas.

The German kit supplier is iconic for Newcastle fans, with some of their best days as a supporter coming when Adidas made the club’s gear. The Magpies donned the famous brand throughout the 90s and early 2000s, and now they are returning in 2024.

The club have agreed a multi-year deal with Adidas, that was officially announced during the Amazon Prime documentary that aired last year. It is set to earn Newcastle £40million-a-year, which is a huge increase on what Castore have been paying.

There have already been hints regarding what Adidas are going to produce for Newcastle United, and it is going to result in fans suddenly buying even more club merchandise.

And, according to iNews, Newcastle United have a plan behind the scenes to deal with the increased demand.

iNews report that the club have been putting together a big e-commerce department so that they are prepared to deal with the demand that they anticipate will be coming their way.

As they say, it is all in the preparation. Newcastle are expecting fans to really buy into the new partnership with Adidas, and so they should.

With Adidas on board, there will be even more desire for fans to buy official club merchandise. They have an incredible reputation, having made some of Newcastle United’s most iconic kits ever.

While Castore have produced some good looking shirts, there have always been issues behind the scenes. Fans have often complained about the quality of their products, while they have sometimes struggled to deal with the incredible demand from Newcastle supporters.

That demand is only going to go up with Adidas now calling the shots, and the club are bracing themselves for when the new partnership kicks off this summer.
