Newcastle United co-owner Jamie Reuben has bit back at comments from Gabriel Agbonlahor about Kieran Trippier.
The £12million January signing is currently out injured, but travelled with the squad for the 2-0 win over Brentford on Saturday.
Trippier was pictured arriving at the ground on crutches -a move that delighted Toon fans as he looks to continue playing a part despite his injury.
However, Agbonlahor saw it differently.

Gabby Agbonlahor embarrasses himself again with latest Newcastle swipe
The former Aston Villa striker told Football Insider: “People will see that as amazing because he’s supporting the team but I see it as silly.
“You’ve got an injury, you’re on crutches, you should be at home with your feet up to rest the injury not struggling around on such a long trip to Brentford.”
Agbonlahor has got a lot to say about people going to Brentford. It wasn’t long ago he was claiming players wouldn’t want to join Newcastle because they won’t want to live in the North East.
The five January arrivals would suggest otherwise.

The 35-year-old appears to love pushing the buttons of Toon fans; constantly criticising the club whenever he’s given the chance. He was also an avid defender of Steve Bruce, who is now 14 games without a win this season…
Jamie Reuben says what all Toon fans are thinking
Agbonlahor angers Newcastle fans regularly, and co-owner Jamie Reuben has taken a swipe at the ex-player.
In response to an article by the Chronicle about his Trippier comments, Reuben wrote on Twitter: “AgbonlaBORE.”
I think that pretty much sums it up.
Agbonlahor is comical as a pundit. It’s frightening that he gets paid to spout such nonsense.

His Trippier comments are just ridiculous. The right-back isn’t even playing and Agbonlahor is still whinging. Is he meant to just sit at home until he’s back and ready to play?
Trippier is a key player for Newcastle, and he will continue to be just that during his injury layoff. That was proven by his desire to be involved at the weekend against Brentford.
He’s supporting his new team as they look to achieve Premier League survival. That’s something Agbonlahor won’t know much about, never appearing in the top flight again after he went down with Villa in 2016.
