When you compare Newcastle United’s team to Sunderland’s, it is no surprise that Eddie Howe and co won the Tyne-Wear derby.

Newcastle were expected to come out on top, and that is exactly what they did. While there was a lot of fear heading into the game, it ended up being a pretty routine victory as the Magpies advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Eddie Howe’s side won 3-0 and celebrated in emphatic fashion, rubbing it in their rivals’ faces by taking their post-victory on the Stadium Of Light pitch before mocking them on social media as well.

There were plenty of impressive performances in black and white. Joelinton was immense in the first half before being forced off, while Miguel Almiron was exceptional when it came to pressing and winning the ball back.

But the best player on the pitch was Bruno Guimaraes, and the club have released fresh footage which sums up why he is absolutely perfect for this incarnation of Newcastle United.

Match-cam footage highlights two incredible Bruno Guimaraes moments against Sunderland

The club have released their match-cam footage of Saturday’s derby win over Sunderland. It shows what happened before and after the game, as well as fresh angles of the 90 minutes.

And the camera behind the goal that the Newcastle players were attacking in the second half has caught close up footage of Bruno Guimaraes at his absolute best.

With the score at 2-0, Newcastle are stroking the ball about confidently. Kieran Trippier fizzes a pass into Bruno, whose clever one touch flick played it into the path of Almiron.

It was beautiful bit of skill from the Brazilian, and what followed was even better. Seconds later after Newcastle lost the ball, Bruno pressed high and blocked a clearance from Pierre Ekwah.

The ball went out for a goal kick, while Bruno celebrated passionately in front of the Toon Army as if he had just scored a goal. His passion was lapped up by the travelling fans, who responded with cries of ‘Bruno, Bruno, Bruno’.

It was an incredible moment that summed up why Newcastle fans absolutely love Bruno. The bit of skill was out of this world, and the celebration for a block was simply brilliant.

He has the perfect blend of genius and passion, which is why he is integral to everything good about Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.
