It has been a fantastic international break for Newcastle United’s stars.
The November break came at a frustrating time for Eddie Howe after his Newcastle United side won three games on the bounce across all competitions.
Miguel Almiron was one of 10 Newcastle players called up to international duty this month, and he will return to Tyneside full of confidence.
Almiron is unhappy with his lack of game time at Newcastle this season, but he remains a regular starter for Paraguay on the international stage.
He starred for Paraguay on Tuesday evening after scoring in the 2-2 with Bolivia in their latest World Cup qualifier.

How Miguel Almiron performed for Paraguay vs Bolivia
Despite playing just 250 minutes of football for Newcastle this season, Almiron continues to deliver for Paraguay.
During the October international break, Paraguayan media purred over Almiron’s display vs Venezuela after he played a key role in their 2-1 victory.
In November, Almiron started by starring for Paraguay as they beat Argentina 2-1 last Thursday. He kept his starting spot against Bolivia and put on another impressive display.
The Paraguay manager promised to keep faith in Almiron despite his struggles at St James’ Park, and that faith was repaid by the winger on Tuesday.
Almiron scored in the 71st minute and followed it up with an iconic celebration by lifting the corner flag in the air and kissing the badge.
The Newcastle winger was the highest-rated Paraguay player via SofaScore with a rating of 7.4 vs Bolivia. Here are a few of his stats from the performance.

Paraguay media react to ‘tremendous’ Miguel Almiron
After scoring and putting on a superb display against Bolivia, Paraguayan media were quick to give their verdict on Almiron.
Paraguayan outlet Versus were full of praise for the 30-year-old, hailing him as the team’s “orchestra conductor”.
They wrote: “Miguel Almiron was a kind of orchestra conductor; in addition to his tremendous speed, “Miggy” also provided serenity and clarity, almost always participating in the offensive attempts of an Albirroja that chose specific moments to try to surprise in attack.”

Almiron and his teammates received huge praise from Paraguay manager Gustavo Alfaro. As quoted by ABC, Alfaro said: “They are the cursed heroes who are vindicating and putting a country back on its feet.”
Almiron will now return to Tyneside ahead of Newcastle’s next Premier League clash against West Ham on Monday evening.
