Jose Mourinho has now shared when he will return to management as rumours of a move to Newcastle United continue to do the rounds.
The 61-year-old is currently out of work after being sacked by Roma in January, where he won the Europa Conference League.
Jose Mourinho has been out of work ever since, but there have been plenty of links regarding him replacing Eddie Howe as Newcastle United manager.
It has been suggested that the Magpies could tempt Mourinho back to the Premier League, while he was recently seen speaking to PIF chief and Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan at the F1 in Saudi Arabia.
Elsewhere, Richard Keys has banged the drum about Mourinho being the man to replace Howe. He believes that the former Chelsea boss would guarantee trophies at St James’ Park, and continues to argue his case as if he is his agent.
Toon fans feel differently, including Alan Shearer. He wants Howe to continue on Tyneside.
It would be a real shock if the Newcastle owners did decide to replace Howe with Mourinho, who is now ready to return to management after a few months away from the game.
Jose Mourinho ready to return to management
Mourinho has been speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, and admitted that he is ready to become a manager again this summer.
“I’m ready to start,” he said.
“And sometimes when you are in a club and feel the need of a rest, a think, to process things. In this case, one day after I left [Roma], I was ready to go.
“I feel strong, I feel good. I love the work. I’m really ready, but I don’t want to make the wrong choice. I cannot accept something just because of the feeling and just because of the passion to be back, so I have to be patient.
“We are in March. Is something going to happen in March, April? It’s very difficult. My objective is to start next summer.”

Newcastle must steer clear of Jose Mourinho
While Mourinho is ready to return to management this summer, Newcastle United are not ready to change managers. Something will have to go drastically wrong between now and the end of the season for the owners to part company with Howe.
And even if they did do that, they would be undoing all their hard work by replacing him with Mourinho.
There is no denying his pedigree – he has won the lot and succeeded all over Europe. But Mourinho is not the same managerial beast he used to be, and a move to bring him to Newcastle would be a huge step in the wrong direction for the club.
Having him as Newcastle manager would be box office, so it is no surprise that people in the media want this to happen, but for the Toon Army it would be a complete disaster.
