Newcastle United said goodbye to a number of players this summer, but one remains without a club two months into the season.
Newcastle United enjoyed a busy summer as Eddie Howe bolstered his squad at St James’ Park.
The Magpies missed out on some major signings, but the likes of Anthony Elanga, Malick Thiaw and Nick Woltemade all arrived to offer a major boost.
Newcastle also said goodbye to Alexander Isak, among others, with one player still waiting for his next opportunity.

Jamal Lewis still available after leaving Newcastle United
Callum Wilson joined West Ham United after his Newcastle contract ended, but defender Jamal Lewis hasn’t been quite so lucky.
Newcastle released Lewis at the end of his contract this summer, five years after joining from Norwich City.
The Magpies invested £15million in Lewis back in 2020, as noted by Sky Sports.
Lewis had shown significant potential at Norwich, and Newcastle believed that he could become the left back of the future.
Lewis struggled to live up to that billing, though, and he managed just 31 first-team appearances for Newcastle.
After loan spells with Watford and Sao Paulo, Lewis was let go on a free transfer, and his dismal spell with Newcastle finally came to an end.
Four months on from his Newcastle exit, Lewis has yet to find a new club and remains a free agent.
The new season is now almost two months old, and Lewis is waiting for a call on his next move.
This is not how the Northern Ireland international would have expected his career to go after joining Newcastle.
That was supposed to be the big move for Lewis, the springboard to a long and successful career at St James’ Park.
Instead, Lewis is out of the game at 27 and left wondering whether another opportunity will arise ahead of the January transfer window.
Jamal Lewis received interest from his former club
Rumours surrounding a move for Lewis have been thin on the ground.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon reported over the summer that Luton Town showed an interest in signing Lewis.
Lewis hails from Luton and came up in the Luton Town youth ranks before joining Norwich City.
A return home may have appealed to Lewis, but no deal was done.
Perhaps the Hatters will look again down the line, as they seek promotion from League One.
Lewis still has plenty to offer in the game, and while his move to Newcastle proved to be a failure, he certainly deserves another chance to shine elsewhere.
