Many Newcastle United players have returned to Darsley Park for pre-season training, but Eddie Howe has been told one of his players may not be back until the Premier League season starts.
The Magpies are back in business after spending the last six weeks away from football. As it stands, the players who were not on international duty have returned to pre-season training, while those who were out with their countries have been given more time to rest before coming back.
Eddie Howe would have expected some new additions to be arriving at the training ground for the first time, but that is unfortunately not the case. However, Howe will soon have Antonio Cordero in his training sessions after completing his permanent move from Malaga this summer.
Newcastle United have a busy season ahead of them, so they need all the preparation they can get to give themselves the best chance of finding more success.
At the end of last season, Newcastle were walking wounded, with several players out of action due to little knocks or serious problems. One of those players was Lewis Hall, who spent the final two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
With Howe hoping all of his players have come back fit, a new update on Hall’s condition has been shared.

Lewis Hall could miss Newcastle United’s pre-season amid injury recovery
It has been a tough few months for Hall, who has been forced to watch on from elsewhere after picking up an ankle injury which required surgery.
However, it was confirmed that Hall was back on the grass, taking part in light training. Upon seeing him putting the work in, Newcastle fans were buzzing with Hall’s return on social media, with many believing he will be like a new signing when he returns.
Despite that, it has been noted by Craig Hope of the Daily Mail that Hall has returned to pre-season training at Darsley Park on Monday, but he took part in individual training rather than any group activity.
Additionally, Hope said that Hall should be back and ready for the first Premier League game of the season away at Aston Villa. His words suggest that he could miss the majority of pre-season, despite being in training.
Referred to as ‘amazing’ by Tino Livramento, Hall was one of Newcastle’s best players last season. The young left-back stepped up to the task of being in Howe’s starting XI and thrived.
