Tino Livramento has decided who he thinks is Newcastle United’s player of the season.

Bruno Guimaraes believes Dan Burn is Newcastle’s player of the season, while Alexander Isak has stated that the honour belongs to Jacob Murphy – but that might just be because of all the goals he set up for him!

Isak is in the running for player of the season too, having scored a career-best 27 goals in all competitions.

However, Tino Livramento has singled out someone completely different.

Tino Livramento names his Newcastle United player of the season

Speaking on a video shared on Newcastle United’s official X account, Livramento gave his player of the season nomination to Lewis Hall.

“I’d say probably Lewis Hall,” he said.

“I know he has been out for maybe the last 10ish games, but in his impact, played pretty much every game that he could possibly play before the injury.

“The improvement from obviously not playing a lot last season to then coming in and playing every game and being amazing. He’s obviously my boy so got to give him a shout-out!”

When Lewis Hall will be back from injury after incredible Newcastle United breakthrough

Nominating Hall for player of the season is a brilliant shout by Livramento. If the season had ended in March, you could have made a very strong argument for the 20-year-old to win the award.

He was playing spectacularly well, showing incredible signs of improvement after a difficult first year on Tyneside. Hall’s work on the training ground with Howe has worked, with the youngster establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s best left-backs. He even made his England debut.

But Hall has not played for Newcastle United since 26th February when they lost 2-0 to Liverpool, suffering a foot injury that ended his season. Hall completely missed the Carabao Cup final, not even able to be at Wembley for the celebrations.

Before his injury, Hall made 34 appearances in all competitions and provided five assists from the left of defence.

In his absence, Livramento has shined on the left of defence. Newcastle have not suffered without Hall, but he will be welcomed back with open arms when he is fit again.

The hope is that he will return in pre-season ahead of the 2025/26 season. On Hall’s injury, Jason Tindall recently said: “He’s doing great. I don’t think we will see him play again this season if we are being honest. But he’s recovering well and he is on the right road to recovery. We will certainly see him back again next season.”
