Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is prepared to keep playing through the tiredness after getting another whack on Saturday.
The 26-year-old could be seen limping during the second half of Newcastle United’s 4-4 draw with Luton Town, and there were fears among fans that he would have to come off.
Luckily, Bruno Guimaraes was able to play through the pain and play a key role in the Magpies rescuing a point. It was his incredible assist that allowed Kieran Trippier to make it 4-3, before Harvey Barnes got Newcastle’s equaliser.
Then Newcastle went in search of a winner, with Bruno leading the charge. He produced another clever cross with the outside of his boot, but Jacob Murphy was unable to convert.
It was a massively disappointing end to a dramatic game, while there was also the added blow of Anthony Gordon leaving St James’ Park on crutches.
Bruno also looked to have hurt himself against Luton, but he has admitted that he is fine despite feeling the effects of Newcastle’s relentless schedule.
Bruno Guimaraes says he is fine despite getting kicked
Following Newcastle’s 4-4 draw with Luton, Bruno spoke to the Chronicle about how he is feeling physically.
“I got a kick in my calf,” he said.
“I feel good though, I am used to playing 60 games in a season. To be honest, I am tired but it is normal. I am happy.
“It is still one of my best seasons for the club personally from my point of view. Even if I have not been on target in terms of goals, I am doing well for the club.”

Bruno has played so much for Newcastle United this season
Newcastle have played 34 games in total this season, with Bruno involved in 33 of them. The only fixture he missed was Bournemouth away, and that was because of suspension. And out of those 33 appearances, 31 of them have been starts.
The Brazil international has had to play so much football this season, so it is no surprise to see him admit that he is feeling tired. It is only natural, but it is not impacting his performances too much.
As Bruno says, he is enjoying a brilliant season on a personal level, standing alongside Anthony Gordon as Newcastle’s best player.
He is doing incredibly well, but he could do with some more help in midfield. The trio of him, Sean Longstaff and Lewis Miley is not really working, with Toon fans extremely eager to see Joe Willock return.
It is unclear when that will happen, but Bruno looks set to be involved in Newcastle’s next match against Nottingham Forest. Even though he’s knackered and got kicked on Saturday, he is going to keep powering through.
