Newcastle United have 10 players on international duty in October and here’s where you can watch them in action.
The new Premier League season is in its frustrating stop-start stretch, as we’re now into the second of three international breaks before the turn of the year.
It’s particularly annoying for Newcastle United, as they have been forced to stop just as Eddie Howe’s side were building some momentum after dominant wins against Union SG and Nottingham Forest.
Still, the break gives Howe the chance to work with some players, though 10 are away representing their countries.
With the 2026 World Cup quickly approaching, it’s an important break and here’s how you can watch Newcastle’s jet-setting stars.
- Who is Nick Woltemade? The ‘two-metre Messi-Musiala’ Newcastle United broke transfer record to sign
Nick Woltemade – Germany

It initially looked as though Nick Woltemade wouldn’t get the chance to add to his four caps for Germany after his excellent start to life at Newcastle.
The giant German didn’t link up with his international teammates on Monday as he was suffering from the flu.
However, the DFB revealed that Woltemade was due to arrive at the team’s headquarters on Tuesday night, though he remains a doubt for the qualifier double header.
They said: “Nick Woltemade is expected to arrive at the German national team’s headquarters in Herzogenaurach late Tuesday evening.
“The striker from English Premier League club Newcastle United, who has made four senior appearances so far, was initially unable to travel to the German national team on Monday due to a flu infection.
“It remains to be seen when Woltemade will be able to return to team training.”

Bruno Guimaraes & Joelinton – Brazil

Brazil are already safely qualified for the 2026 World Cup, so there isn’t much pressure on them in the October break, as they take on South Korea and Japan in friendlies.
However, players will be aiming to impress new manager Carlo Ancelotti and Newcastle duo Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton still have a big trip to deal with as they go to Asia.
