Lewis Miley was back in action just days after picking up his Carabao Cup winners medal with Newcastle United.
The behind-the-scenes celebrations at Wembley were iconic after Newcastle United lifted the Carabao Cup on Sunday afternoon, ending the 70-year wait for a trophy.
But Newcastle have 14 players on international duty this month, so many had to cut their celebrations short to meet up with their national team.
Dan Burn made a good first impression at England, while Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton missed Brazil training after being made to fly out less than 24 hours after the final.
Lewis Miley has a busy week ahead after being called up to the England Under-19s squad – he played his first of three matches on Wednesday.

Scout gives verdict on Lewis Miley vs Wales Under-19s
Miley has only played just over 500 minutes of football for Newcastle this season so he will hope to impress over the international break.
After his strong break out at Newcastle, Miley has been compared to Cesc Fabregas for his style of play. He lined up in central midfield for England’s Under-19s on Wednesday and Gateshead’s regional scout has now given his verdict on Miley’s performance.
Via X, he wrote: “Had a decent game. He missed a couple of good chances in the first half but made two good runs in the channels to get there.”
It was Ethan Wheatley and Shim Mheuka who scored for England in a 2-0 win, but Miley played the full 90 minutes in midfield. In the second half, Newcastle target Tyler Dibling came off the bench.
When is Lewis Miley back in action for England Under-19s?
Miley will be glad to have picked up 90 minutes for England’s Under-19s on Wednesday, and he could be back in action for the Three Lions in a matter of days.
England’s Under-19s are next in action against Turkey in a UEFA Under-19 Championship Qualifier on Saturday, 22nd March. Fans can watch the match via England’s YouTube channel with kick-off at 11am.
