Newcastle United have been told it will cost £100million to sign Tyler Dibling this summer.
Tyler Dibling is a Newcastle transfer target, as Paul Mitchell sets about improving Eddie Howe’s squad and reducing its average age.
The 19-year-old would do exactly that, but will come at a price.
It has been claimed that Southampton want £100million for Dibling. That would make him Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever, eclipsing the £63million that Alexander Isak cost in 2022.

It is a staggering asking price, and one that Newcastle United fans think should impact the Magpies’ valuation of Alexander Isak.
He is also a man in demand, with Liverpool trying to sign Isak. The likes of Arsenal and Barcelona are also interested, while Newcastle are hoping to retain Isak.

If he does leave, he will cost a huge amount of money. But Newcastle fans on X think the 25-year-old is now worth even more if Southampton can demand £100million for Dibling.
One Newcastle fan wrote: “If Dibling is valued at £100m, surely Isak has got to be valued at £200m minimum.”
Another supporter added: “Absolutely nothing wrong with what Southampton value Dibling at. However if he’s worth £100m, and I’m not taking the mick here, Isak is worth £250m no less.”
“Let’s put it this way, if Tyler Dibling is worth £100m, it’d take £250m at a minimum to bring Newcastle United to the table to talk about Isak,” wrote a third Newcastle United fan.
This member of the Toon Army commented: “So, Tyler Dibling is “valued” at £100m and some people also think that Isak is worth “no more than £125m”….. football is a funny old game. If Tyler Dibling goes for anywhere near £100m then Isak is worth minimum £300m. Everyone is a £100m player now, City ruined transfer windows.”
“£100million for Tyler Dibling man, unbelievable, no less than £400million for Isak then if that’s the case,” wrote this shocked Toon fan.
Finally, this Newcastle supporter asked: “Hang on, are Southampton valuing Tyler Dibling at £100m? If that’s the case Isak is worth £400m easily.”
Why Southampton value Tyler Dibling at £100m
A fee of £100million would make Dibling one of the most expensive English players ever.
However, there is surely no chance that the Saints will actually get the fee they are looking for. In fact, it has been reported by the i Paper that the belief is that Southampton have given Dibling an inflated valuation in the hope of sparking a bidding war.
Whether or not it is a bidding war that Newcastle get involved in remains to be seen.
While the Magpies are long-term admirers of the talented teenager, it has been claimed that Tottenham are the favourites to sign Dibling.
Paul Mitchell may have to look elsewhere as he eyes up attacking reinforcements. However, he may have to look further afield to get true value in the market.
While Dibling is valued at £100million, it is claimed that Antoine Semenyo will cost £70million. He is another player who Newcastle want to sign but could be out of their price range.
