Harvey Barnes has reflected on an incredible season for Newcastle United.
The 2024/25 campaign has arguably been Newcastle United’s best ever.
Newcastle won the Carabao Cup, and they managed to follow that up with Champions League qualification.
Barnes celebrated wildly with his Newcastle teammates after qualifying for the Champions League, with Manchester United doing the Magpies a favour on the final day of the Premier League season.
Not only was it an incredible season for Newcastle United, but it was also an incredible season for Barnes. The 27-year-old really arrived as a Toon player, taking on a starring role in the past few months.
In total, Barnes scored nine goals and provided five assists across 40 appearances.
Harvey Barnes reflects on ‘historic’ Newcastle United season
The £39million man can be really happy with his contribution in black and white.
Just over a week after the conclusion of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, Barnes has taken to his official Instagram account to look back at what was a ‘historic’ year.
He wrote on Instagram: “A week to reflect on a historic season for this amazing club and one that’s going to always stick in the memory! Time for a chill before we do it all again next year.”
Eddie Howe’s stance on selling Harvey Barnes
Barnes is already looking towards the 2025/26 season, as he prepares to represent the Magpies in the Champions League.
That is something he barely got to do during the Magpies’ last Champions League adventure, making just one substitute appearance before suffering an injury.
The Newcastle number 11’s attitude will delight Eddie Howe, at a time in which he has been linked with a move away.

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are interested in Harvey Barnes.
However, it has been reported that Howe does not want to sell Barnes, which will delight Toon fans who have loved watching the former Leicester City star in recent months.
Ahead of a season in which Newcastle’s depth will be tested yet again, selling Barnes would be a huge mistake.
Fortunately, Howe seemingly has no intention of making that mistake.
