Newcastle United have received an injury boost ahead of facing West Ham United.
It has been a week of bad news for Newcastle United, as they continue to look towards the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on March 16th. Before that, the Magpies face West Ham in the Premier League on Monday night.
Ahead of that game, it has been confirmed that Lewis Hall is injured and will miss the rest of the season. On top of that, Sven Botman is also injured and not set to return imminently.
And with Anthony Gordon suspended, Newcastle’s options have been dwindling as the cup final looms.
Alexander Isak update from Newcastle United’s training ground
However, there is some positive news to come from the Newcastle United training ground ahead of Monday night’s game at the London Stadium.
The club have released training photos from Wednesday’s session, with the likes of Callum Wilson, Sandro Tonali and Joelinton spotted.

There is also an appearance from Alexander Isak, who had been substituted during the FA Cup defeat to Brighton.
After that game, Howe said Isak had been substituted because of tiredness rather than injury. However, what followed was a baseless panic on social media that the 25-year-old was suffering from injury.
But those claims have been put to bed, as Isak trained alongside his teammates in preparation for the West Ham game and beyond. Isak has also conducted Carabao Cup final media duties, which further suggests he is going to be fine for the match at Wembley against Liverpool.

Newcastle United youngsters involved in first-team training before West Ham
There is also an appearance from Anthony Gordon in training. It is the first time he has been seen since his red card against Brighton.
Gordon’s red has not been appealed, which means he will miss the Magpies’ next three games. The 24-year-old is yet to comment since his moment of madness.
There are also a couple of youngsters in first-team training, with Eddie Howe seemingly bolstering his numbers amid a few injury issues.
Leo Shahar and Sean Neave have been spotted in senior Newcastle United training. Both players are 17-year-old and have been regulars with Howe’s group in recent weeks.
They are clearly very highly rated, and it will be interesting to see how their careers unfold on Tyneside.
