Bruno Guimaraes has been left dazzled by one of Newcastle United’s new signings – and it’s not Nick Woltemade.
While Woltemade will invariably take many of the headlines given his fine start to life at Newcastle United in front of goal, Guimaraes was impressed by another relatively new teammate on Sunday.
Indeed, Eddie Howe’s side ensured they entered the international break in decent form. Newcastle beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 in the Premier League, through goals from both Guimaraes and Woltemade.
It capped off a fine few days for the club, following the 4-0 victory over Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League.
Many of the players took to social media platform Instagram after the game to celebrate the three points against Forest and Guimaraes left a message for one Malick Thiaw.

Bruno Guimaraes hails Malick Thiaw
The former AC Milan defender is already proving a very good signing for the club.
Newcastle paid around £34million to sign Thiaw from the Serie A giants and he has made a rather seamless start to life on Tyneside.
With Fabian Schar injured for the last few games and Dan Burn moved to left-back, Thiaw has been building up what already looks like a solid defensive partnership with Sven Botman.

While the duo still have a lot to prove at the heart of Newcastle’s defence, the early signs are very promising.
Thiaw captioned an Instagram post: “Big WIN & Clean sheet for you GEORDIES.”
Guimaraes responded with: “What a player.”
Malick Thiaw’s performance for Newcastle United against Nottingham Forest in numbers
Forest manager Ange Postecoglou decided to shut up shop somewhat during the opening period of the game, so the visitors were not at their attacking best.
For all the talk of their struggles under the former Tottenham boss, they had scored seven goals in the seven games since they changed manager in September. In three of those outings, they’ve scored more than once.
