Alexander Isak is back to his best
Expectations for Isak were high this season after he ended the last campaign with 25 goals in all competitions.
However, it took a while for him to get going and Newcastle fans were frustrated with Isak, with some labelling him “selfish”.
There was also a lot of outside noise about Isak discussing a new contract with Newcastle.
With four goals in his last four games, it now seems Isak is finding his best form again and all of a sudden goals have become less of an issue for Newcastle.
Eddie Howe revealed that Isak is feeling better after rediscovering his goalscoring form.
Alexander Isak sends message after 3-1 Newcastle win
Isak was superb against Forest with one goal and one assist in the 3-1 victory, and he took to social media to send a message to fans after the full-time whistle.
Via Instagram, Isak posted: “What a second half from the team to get us the 3 points! Thanks for the support as always 🖤🤍 @nufc“
Newcastle teammates Joe Willock and Bruno Guimaraes were quick to reply to the post with two-word responses.

Isak is now expected to travel to meet up with the Sweden national team ahead of Nations League fixtures over the next two weeks.
