Newcastle United have some absolutely brilliant players, there is little doubt about that.
Indeed, while Newcastle have failed to strengthen their first-team over the last few transfer windows, few would doubt they have fantastic talents at their disposal.
Newcastle have the ninth-most valuable squad in world football and while it may not be perfect given the quiet nature of the last few transfer windows, there are some standout figures.
Alexander Isak is undoubtedly one of them. Isak has been hailed a “world class” by Newcastle legend Alan Shearer and even a neutral observer would surely struggle to disagree.
Bruno Guimaraes has to be another. Guimaraes reportedly cost Newcastle £40million but has looked an absolute bargain since after starring for the club.
The two will no doubt be crucial to Newcastle potentially winning the Carabao Cup final next month, such is the level of their quality.
Interestingly, Isak has now revealed why he puts so much pressure on Guimaraes.

Alexander Isak reveals why he puts pressure on Bruno Guimaraes
Isak is of the belief Guimaraes can do things with the ball that not many other players can pull off.
To that end, the striker admits he puts a lot of pressure on the Brazilian to find him in space given how much quality Guimaraes possesses.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Isak said: “Bruno is a top, top player. He’s one of those players you love to have on your side, especially as a striker because his football knowledge is really high. He can find solutions you don’t expect many [players] to do.
“I put a bit more pressure on him than I do on the others of expecting the ball at my feet, because I know he has so much quality.”
Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak are a fearsome partnership at Newcastle United
Jacob Murphy and Isak are the most effective partnership in the Premier League right now, but Guimaraes isn’t too far behind.
In fact, only Murphy has more joint goal participations with Isak than the Brazilian throughout the course of his career, with seven from 86 games together.
| Name | Joint goal participations with Alexander Isak |
| Jacob Murphy | 10 |
| Bruno Guimaraes | 7 |
| Vangelis Pavlidis | 7 |
| Mikel Oyarzabal | 6 |
| Adnan Januzaj | 6 |
| Anthony Gordon | 6 |
Certainly, it seems Isak’s demands are paying off! He and Guimaraes clearly boast an understanding, one likely to only improve if they remain on the same team for years to come…
