Alexander Isak is the talk of the Toon right now, and he has been receiving words of encouragement behind the scenes from Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer.
Shearer is Newcastle‘s all-time leading goalscorer, and now he is passing on words of wisdom to Isak, who netted his sixth goal for the Magpies last time out.
The 23-year-old is enjoying a rich vein of form, scoring in our previous two wins over Wolves and Nottingham Forest. He is starting to look like a £63million player, which is a worrying thought for the rest of the Premier League.
With Callum Wilson struggling, it has been vital that Isak has started hitting the back of the net. Now the Sweden international has spoke about the impact that Shearer is having behind the scenes.

The striker is currently on international duty, where he has spoke to Sportbladet about his relationship with Shearer.
“It actually feels great,” Isak said.
“He is very, very involved. Shearer is really passionate about the club and you can see it.
“Before the cup final, Alan was down and talked to us. Gave tips and of course it helps us. Especially for me as a striker.
“Even when I signed for the club he told me what Newcastle means and what it means to be a striker for that club.”

It is fantastic to hear that Shearer has a presence at Newcastle United once again. He was on the periphery during the Mike Ashley era; made to feel unwelcome inside his own home of St James’ Park.
Shearer managed the Magpies under Ashley, and was ready to take the job permanently – but the Sports Direct man never called him back.
Since then, the Match Of The Day pundit saw his stadium bar renamed, while his statue had to be positioned on council land outside the ground.
But now Ashley has gone, and Shearer has been welcomed back with open arms. His statue stands proud alongside Sir Bobby Robson, while Shearer’s Bar is open once again.
Eddie Howe has also found a role for Shearer, and got him to speak to the players ahead of the Carabao Cup final. Sadly, it was unable to inspire Newcastle to victory at Wembley.
But Isak is delighted to see Shearer so involved, and is only going to get even better if he takes his advice on board.
