Newcastle United have had so many injury problems this season, but it finally looks like things are starting to go their way.
Eddie Howe has had to deal with some ridiculous injuries. Freak accidents have lost him key players, and it looked like he had lost another during the 3-2 defeat to Chelsea.
Anthony Gordon was forced off with a knee injury, and there were fears after the game that it was a serious one. There were even suggestions that his season could be over.
However, that is not going to be the case.

Anthony Gordon has avoided a serious injury
According to the Daily Mail, Gordon has not suffered a serious knee injury.
They state that there has been so swelling since the game against Chelsea, and that he could actually be back in Newcastle training within the next few days.
That is excellent news, and it also means that his England hopes are not over too. The Daily Mail add that the FA have been in contact with Newcastle about Gordon’s injury, with Gareth Southgate set to announce his latest England squad today.
The 23-year-old is desperate to go to the Euros this summer, and that dream is seemingly still alive despite this recent scare.
But the most important thing for Toon fans is that his season is not over. Gordon has been our best player during a difficult campaign. He has been ‘absolutely fantastic‘ in the words of Alan Shearer, boasting 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions. He has been so reliable for the Magpies, and finishing this season strongly without him would have been incredibly difficult.
Fortunately, it looks like this knee injury is not serious. Now we wait to see if he has any chance of featuring in the FA Cup against Manchester City on Saturday night.
