Newcastle United winger Yankuba Minteh does not know what the future holds for him.
The teenager is currently on loan at Feyenoord, and has been really impressive in the Eredivisie. He is currently on a run of four goals in three games, leading to Newcastle fans calling for him to be involved in Eddie Howe‘s first-team next season.
That is apparently a possibility, while Feyenoord would also like to re-sign the winger on loan.
Yankuba Minteh has spoke about the prospect of a second loan with the Dutch club, and has been very open about potentially staying another year.
But the Gambia international will have to wait and see what Newcastle United want to do with him, as he continues his journey towards becoming a Premier League player.
Yankuba Minteh sets out Premier League goal
In an interview with Voetbal International, Minteh has spoke about his immediate future as well as his long-term ambitions with Newcastle United.
“Ultimately the Premier League is my goal and Newcastle United is the club that has a lot of confidence in me,” he said.
“I have no idea what the future looks like. I was in Newcastle once, when they played against Borussia Dortmund. I will hear soon what plans the club has for me.
“I’m still young, I have time, maybe they want to rent me out again. I don’t know yet, I’ll hear about it, I’ll let everything happen to me. I know only that one day I will play in the Premier League.”

Another loan could help talented Newcastle United winger
No matter what happens this summer, Minteh has made it very clear that his overall goal is to play in the Premier League. He is going to get the chance to do that with Newcastle, but it is unclear when.
It could be as early as next season, but that will depend on what Toon officials decide to do with a player they spent £6million on last summer.
The club invested a decent amount of money in someone so young, and Minteh knows that Newcastle United have confidence in him. But he does not know what they want to do with him next season, and has suggested that they might decide to send him out on loan again.
That could be a good decision, as he continues his development towards becoming a Premier League player. The only reason he should not go out again is if Eddie Howe and co decide he is already good enough to have an impact in the top flight of English football.
