Newcastle United would love for Dean Huijsen to join Alexander Isak at St James’ Park.
The Magpies are expected to overhaul their squad this summer, with Newcastle United keen to sign a centre-back after failing to do so in the previous two transfer windows.
Dean Huijsen is a target for Newcastle, with the Bournemouth defender boasting a £50million release clause in his contract.
He could be on the move this summer, with Huijsen’s representatives contacting Newcastle about a potential deal.
The 19-year-old would be an outstanding signing, and a move to St James’ Park would see him become teammates with a player who he very much admires.

Dean Huijsen praises Alexander Isak
Huijsen was recently pictured holding an Alexander Isak shirt, and now the teenage centre-back has heaped praise on Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever.
As part of a video on the Rodrigo Faez YouTube channel, Huijsen was asked to name the three best players he has faced, one of which was Isak.
“Isak seems to me a very complete striker, tall, fast, can dribble, can shoot, can pass,” he said.

What Huijsen did to Isak during Newcastle vs Bournemouth
While Huijsen believes that Isak is a ‘complete striker’, he did a pretty good job at nullifying him at St James’ Park earlier this year.
Newcastle lost 4-1 to Bournemouth, as Andoni Iraola’s side put on an absolute masterclass.
They were incredible all over the pitch, as the Bournemouth defenders kept a red hot Alexander Isak very quiet.
Going in to that game, the Swedish striker had scored in eight consecutive Premier League games. However, he was unable to make it nine.
The partnership of Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi completely shut down Isak, as the Cherries returned to the south with all three points.
Given how good Huijsen believes that Isak is, it is a testament to his talent that he was able to stop him from scoring.
Now Newcastle are trying to make them teammates, as Toon officials eye a deal for Huijsen.
However, that will probably depend on whether or not the Magpies qualify for the Champions League. Huijsen is open to joining Newcastle – but only if they are in Europe’s elite competition.
