It looks like one of Newcastle United’s most important players is going to be fit to face Arsenal despite suffering an injury scare.
Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth was massively disappointing, while there was fear at full time as Fabian Schar trudged off with his arm in a sling.
After the game, the £3million defender hinted that he was alright, while Eddie Howe stated that he was in quite a bit of pain.
It cast doubt over Schar featuring against Arsenal on Saturday, with fears that he was going to be the latest casualty on Tyneside after Callum Wilson’s season-ending injury.
However, it looks like the Swiss centre-back is fine.

Fabian Schar trains ahead of Arsenal vs Newcastle United
The club have tweeted out a selection of photos from training ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.
One of the pictures includes Fabian Schar, which would suggest that he is going to be good to go at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night.
That is a big boost, as Schar has been one of our best players this season. However, he did struggle during the draw with Bournemouth – although that was true of most of our players.
But it looks like he will immediately get a chance to bounce back, while Jamaal Lascelles will continue to wait on the bench. He would have been the leading candidate to come into the side if Schar was injured, but he will remain as a substitute.
Elsewhere, Jacob Murphy has also trained. He made his comeback against Bournemouth, but struggled to have any impact after replacing Harvey Barnes in the second half.
The training photos that Newcastle have put on X (formerly known as Twitter) also feature Martin Dubravka, Dan Burn and Miguel Almiron, all of which will likely start against Arsenal on Saturday night.
