Newcastle United fans were in party mood on Wednesday night as the Magpies battered Manchester United 3-0 in their own backyard.
Eddie Howe’s side advanced to the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup, and have now knocked both Manchester sides out of the competition.
It looks like Newcastle are putting together another special run, and the performance at Old Trafford will live long in the memory for those Toon fans in attendance – and there were plenty of them!
7,000 Newcastle supporters made the journey to Manchester, and they were treated to a wonderful display despite the Magpies’ injury concerns.
But a team that included fringe players like Emil Krafth, Paul Dummett and Matt Ritchie were able to play Man United off the park and inflict further misery on Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils boss is seriously feeling the pressure right now, much to the amusement of the Toon fans who were inside Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

Newcastle fans had a message for Erik ten Hag
Newcastle raced into a 2-0 lead in the first half, thanks to Miguel Almiron’s opener that was set up brilliantly by Tino Livramento and a stunning volley by Lewis Hall.
The noise from the away end was incredible as the Newcastle fans serenaded their team, before turning their attention to Ten Hag.
In the 35th minute, Newcastle fans could be heard chanting: “Sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning.”
The chants bellowed around Old Trafford, and it was repeated throughout the night as Eddie Howe’s side won 3-0.
Ten Hag is under a lot of pressure, having lost 3-0 at home twice in the space of a few days. Man City did it on Sunday, and then Newcastle did it on Wednesday.
The Magpies defeat was arguably even more embarrassing for Ten Hag, as Howe’s side included so many players who have barely featured this season.
But they dominated Man United, as Newcastle got revenge for last season. The Red Devils beat Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final back in February, while Ten Hag has had a few digs at the Magpies since he took over at Old Trafford.
Howe has let the football do the talking, and it is his side that are into the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup. As for Ten Hag, Man United might not be his club for much longer. That’s the view of the Toon fans who were at Old Trafford, who believe the Dutchman’s days are numbered.
