Sandro Tonali had one of his best performances in a Newcastle United shirt during the 3-0 win over Wolves.
Newcastle United simply cannot stop winning at the moment. A 3-0 victory over Wolves on Wednesday night means the Magpies have now won nine in a row across all competitions.
After scoring twice at St James’ Park, Alexander Isak has now found the back of the net in eight consecutive Premier League matches, meaning he has beaten Alan Shearer’s record.
Isak then turned provider to assist Anthony Gordon for Newcastle’s third. Birthday boy Martin Dubravka also impressed between the sticks to add yet another clean sheet to his tally.
But while Newcastle’s forwards will hog the headlines, Sandro Tonali was an unsung hero in midfield.

A second supporter agreed, saying: “Tonali, one the best in the league at the minute” while a third spotted what he did in the dying moments against Wolves: “96th minute, 3-0 up, and Sandro Tonali is still running around like it’s 15 minutes in. Bloke has an engine like prime Tardelli. What a player we have there.”
Another fan boldly claimed: “Tonali is the best player in the Premier League, then Isak”
Some fans even insisted that Tonali is the best midfielder they have seen at Newcastle.
