Newcastle United continue to be dealt problems on the injury front.
Indeed, even after a 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest, Newcastle have issues to consider.
Despite the fact Harvey Barnes has recently returned and both Joe Willock and Elliot Anderson are reportedly close, Eddie Howe confirmed there is now a slight concern in regards to Callum Wilson.
The £20m striker has only just come back from a calf problem but it seems there’s now a fresh issue.
Callum Wilson: Newcastle injury latest
As per Craig Hope of the Daily Mail on X (formerly Twitter), Howe confirmed Wilson now has a problem with a muscle in his arm, leading to a “slight concern.”
Thankfully, the problem isn’t thought to be “serious” but clearly it is something Newcastle could do without.

Newcastle injury news: More problems for Eddie Howe
With Alexander Isak not expected back for a short while, Newcastle need Wilson fit and available.
As has been the case throughout his time on Tyneside, however, keeping the striker healthy for a prolonged period of time is proving to be an issue.
Wilson has admitted it’s been frustrating he’s not been able to play with Isak more often this season. To have none of them available for games against Bournemouth, Arsenal and Blackburn in the near future would be a major blow.
Hopefully, Wilson’s injury is not one to rule him out but it would be foolish to discount that given his record since joining the club in 2020.
Thankfully, Anthony Gordon was able to start the game at Forest despite a recent knock of his own. With Barnes back too, at least Howe has more options than he has had at other points this season.
Wilson may not be in the best form right now but Newcastle need to start putting a run together. Doing so without a recognised striker would be difficult.
