Davide Frattesi to Newcastle United transfer news
Just as Newcastle were closing in on record signing Nick Woltemade last week, it was reported that Frattesi had become a target.
The Times revealed that Newcastle were talking to Inter about signing Frattesi on loan, though the Italian giants wanted to include a £35m option to buy.
However, The Chronicle reported on Saturday that Inter chairman Giuseppe Marotta was “baffled” by the Frattesi speculation.
There’s been little movement since and it’s not clear if Newcastle will make a move on deadline day.

Frattesi was born on September 22, 1999, in Rome, Italy. He will turn 26 years old in September.
That’s slightly older than the age bracket Newcastle have recruited in this summer, but still at a good age, given he’s approaching the peak of his career.
