Sandro Tonali sends ‘not interested’ message to Juventus in major transfer boost for Newcastle United

Sandro Tonali’s future at Newcastle United is, for some reason, frequently discussed.

Indeed, Tonali is a crucial part of the Newcastle United team who won the Carabao Cup and could yet help lead them back into the Champions League

Newcastle do not want to sell Tonali and there is little to suggest he’s looking for a move away from St James’ Park

Still, sadly that hasn’t stopped him being linked with a move back to Italy for what feels like an age now.

Juventus are interested in Tonali, while other European have been touted as potential landing spots.

Thankfully, reports from The Chronicle come as good news.

Sandro Tonali transfer latest at Newcastle United

They claim the midfielder is comfortable on Tyneside and that the message from both the club and the player himself is consistent: Tonali is simply not for sale.

It’s claimed the Italy star is “going nowhere” and that he just “isn’t interested” in leaving, barring a dramatic turn of events.

That is brilliant news for Newcastle.

They had to wait a while to see the best of the 24-year-old but they are now reaping the rewards of having signed him in the first place.

How much is Sandro Tonali worth?

Reports in the Italian media laughably suggest Juventus think they can sign Tonali for £60-£70million

That is frankly ludicrous. Newcastle paid £55million for Tonali and his value would only have soared since, given his excellence in the Premier League.

Newcastle are in a strong position to demand huge sums of money to even get a conversation started about selling the Italian.

Indeed, Newcastle were stunned they could sign Tonali in the first place.

Selling him at any price would be a major surprise now but the mere suggestion they’d be willing to part ways for the sort of figures talked about in the Italian media would be an even bigger shock.
