Things are heating up for Newcastle United in the summer transfer window amid updates on Hugo Ekitike, Park Seung-soo and Sean Longstaff.
Newcastle are expected to make a second bid for Ekitike, having already seen an opening offer rejected by Eintracht Frankfurt.
Liverpool are also interested in Ekitike, but it remains to be seen if Newcastle can force through a move for a player they have looked at signing for many years now.
Newcastle are also seemingly set to sign Korean wonderkid Seung-soo and there has now been a fresh update on their pursuit of the player.

Newcastle United remain in Hugo Ekitike talks
According to German football expert Florian Plettenberg on social media platform X, both Liverpool and Newcastle remain in talks with Frankfurt over a move for Ekitike.
It’s said that the German club are yet to reach an agreement with either club thus far, but the only concrete offer has been from St James’ Park.
Liverpool will reportedly look to move for Ekitike if they cannot sign Newcastle star Alexander Isak.
Newcastle do not want to sell Isak, who still has three years to go on his contract at the club.
Park Seung-soo completes Newcastle United medical
According to Football Asian, Newcastle have won the race to sign Seung-soo from Suwon Samsung Bluewings.
In fact, even despite interest from the likes of Bayern Munich, Marseille, Red Bull Salzburg and FC Midtjylland, the 18-year-old has already completed a medical with Newcastle.

The forward is reportedly expected to be announced ahead of Newcastle’s pre-season tour, which will see them play against a K-League All Stars XI in South Korea.
Newcastle’s proposal is understood to have been built on long-term development and a clear plan, which is said to have swung the race into their favour.
Sean Longstaff medical at Leeds United imminent
There could be another medical involving a Newcastle deal imminently, too.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Longstaff is set to arrive at Leeds United’s training ground on Thursday to undergo his medical tests.

Longstaff is set to join Leeds for £15million, bringing an end to his long association with Newcastle.
The midfielder joined the club as a youngster and has made 214 appearances for The Magpies. He, however, lost his place in the starting lineup last season following Sandro Tonali’s return from a ten-month ban from football for breaking betting rules.
Now, Longstaff is set to swap St James’ for Elland Road.
