Newcastle United are alive in the transfer market, amid updates on Sean Longstaff, Hugo Ekitike and Yoane Wissa.
Indeed, after two years without making a major signing, Newcastle United are ready to start spending again.
Anthony Elanga is close to signing for Newcastle, in what would be a major boost for Eddie Howe.
Still, Newcastle will not stop at Elanga. Howe wants fresh signings to launch a dual assault on the Premier League and the Champions League.
The signing of a new forward is also on the agenda, although Wissa may not be heading to St James’ Park.
Longstaff, meanwhile, could be set to stay there.
With that in mind, here’s all you need to know on the latest Newcastle transfer news and rumours.

Newcastle United reject offer for Sean Longstaff
According to The Northern Echo, Newcastle have rejected an offer worth £12million from Leeds for Longstaff.
The Newcastle midfielder is understood to be open to the move, but it’s unclear as to whether or not Leeds will return with a fresh offer.
The Yorkshire giants could instead turn to alternative targets, having seen a bid of £10million plus a further £2million in add-ons snubbed on Tyneside.
Longstaff has just a year to go on his deal at Newcastle.
Yoane Wissa wants Tottenham move
Newcastle have been linked with Wissa, who looks an ideal foil for Alexander Isak.
However, signing the Brentford forward will not be easy. The Bees are under little pressure to sell and are currently making life very difficult for Manchester United as they look to sign Bryan Mbeumo.
According to BBC Sport, Wissa is interested by the idea of a move to Tottenham. Spurs are keen, having appointed former Brentford boss Thomas Frank as their new manager earlier this summer.

Fabrizio Romano confirms Newcastle United are interested in Hugo Ekitike
Ekitike rather infamously rejected Newcastle back in 2022, though it has since worked out for all parties.
While the forward initially struggled for game time at Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Reims, he has rebuilt his career at Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 23-year-old scored 22 goals while registering 12 assists in 48 games for the German side last season and has been linked with some of Europe’s major clubs since.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle are among the teams interested in a move this summer.
