Newcastle United could get the chance to sign another £30million striker if they miss out on Liam Delap.
Eddie Howe’s side are aiming to sign a new forward this summer, with Newcastle holding talks with Liam Delap.
The 22-year-old is available for £30million following Ipswich Town’s relegation from the Premier League, with Manchester United favourites to sign Delap.
The Magpies are well aware that it will be difficult for them to complete a deal for Delap. They will have alternatives on their radar, as Howe aims to bring in more competition for Alexander Isak.

Newcastle United to be offered Chelsea striker
Another option could soon present itself to Newcastle United.

That is according to the Chronicle, who claim that the Magpies will be offered the chance to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea.
The Albania international is currently on loan at Everton, but the Toffees are not planning to take up their option to buy him for £30million.
Broja is one of multiple players that Chelsea will look to sell to boost their PSR position and comply with the Premier League’s financial rules, with Newcastle United to be given an opportunity to do a deal.
The 23-year-old has had a season to forget, failing to score in any of his 11 appearances for Everton.
Newcastle United wanted Broja in 2022
Before Alexander Isak became Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever, the Magpies tried to do a deal for Broja.
After scoring nine goals during a loan spell with Southampton, the forward was a man in demand as Howe aimed to provide Callum Wilson with more competition.
Newcastle competed with West Ham to sign Broja, with Chelsea looking set to sanction his departure.
It was even reported that Broja was keen on joining Newcastle. As a young striker who could provide cover for and learn from Wilson, he looked like an ideal addition.
However, Chelsea ultimately decided to keep Broja, while Newcastle signed Isak.
That worked out for the better for the Magpies, while Broja is not quite as appealing an option three years later.
He has scored just three goals in all competitions since almost joining Newcastle, enduring difficult loan spells at Fulham and Everton.
