Newcastle United have decisions to make over the futures of both Lewis Miley and William Osula this summer.
While Newcastle United do not boast the deepest squad in the world, both players have struggled for first-team minutes this season – albeit there are very good reasons for that.
Miley is competing for a midfield berth alongside the likes of Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton. Such has been the success of that trio this season, it’s natural that Eddie Howe wouldn’t want to disrupt their rhythm.
Osula, meanwhile, has one of the best strikers in the world in the form of Alexander Isak to compete with.
As such, much has been made about their futures.
Miley has been linked with a move away from Newcastle, given his lack of action. Newcastle rate Osula highly behind the scenes but first-team minutes have been few and far between since a move from Sheffield United.
Speaking on the latest episode of The Everything is Black and White show, Andrew Musgrove and Aaron Stokes were discussing their respective futures.

Lewis Miley and Will Osula future updates at Newcastle United
Asked about which of Saturday’s bench would potentially stay at Newcastle next season, Musgrove suggested he was of the belief the duo could be sent out on loan.
“I could see one, in fact, potentially both of them going out on loan,” he said.
“But I think their long term future is at Newcastle United.”
Miley has been tipped for a bright future, while Newcastle insiders think Osula is starting to look like a younger version of Callum Wilson.
Newcastle United fans are making the same demand about Will Osula
It’s understandable as to why Newcastle would lean on Wilson as Isak’s main replacement during what remains of the season, given what is at stake.
Still, Newcastle fans want Osula to replace Wilson in the pecking order, considering the veteran forward has scored only once all season.
That, however, feels unlikely to happen. Isak struggled against Aston Villa but to suddenly thrust a relatively untested 21-year-old into the mix during a tight Champions League battle may be unwise.
Sadly for Miley and Osula, they may have to continue biding their time.
