Newcastle United are set to miss out on Watford midfielder Will Hughes.
According to The Sun, the 26-year-old is bound for Crystal Palace where’ he’d link up with Patrick Vieira.

The Eagles are poised to agree a £10 million deal with the Hornets for the player’s transfer.
They have apparently tabled £7 million now, with £3 million to come as add-ons.
Supposedly, Hughes could earn around £60,000-a-week at Selhurst Park.
The development comes a few weeks after Newcastle were linked with a move for Hughes.

The Magpies were reported to be interested last month.
It was also claimed that Isaac Hayden could be offered as part of a swap deal.
Steve Bruce is reportedly keen to revamp his midfield, and has already brought in Joe Willock this summer.
Sad state of affairs
So it looks as though Hughes will be staying down south, and if the move goes ahead, then that will be a shame.
£10 million for Hughes is a bargain.

The fact that Newcastle don’t seem to be in a position to go after him is hugely frustrating.
There is just over a week to go now in the transfer window. It is paramount for Newcastle to add to Willock – or else another relegation battle could beckon.
