Newcastle United transfer target Jordan Zemura is no longer training with the Bournemouth first-team as speculation over his future continues.

Zemura‘s contract at Bournemouth expires this summer, and he has reportedly rejected multiple offers to extend his stay at the Vitality Stadium.

That led rumours of interest from elsewhere. 90min claimed that West Ham were the favourites to sign him, while they also stated that Newcastle were keen.

The Magpies are set to be in the market for a left-back, while Zemura is a player who Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall know well from their time on the south coast.

It now looks absolutely certain that Zemura is going to leave Bournemouth. However, a move to another team wearing black and white appears to be on the horizon.

Jordan Zemura sent to train with the reserves amid Udinese talks

According to the Daily Echo, Zemura is going to train with the Bournemouth development squad for the rest of the season.

They add that this decision comes after the Cherries were made away by Serie A side Udinese that they are in talks to sign him. This was news to Bournemouth, who were not made aware of the interest from Zemura or his representatives.

It has created a messy situation that is resulting in a premature end to the 23-year-old’s debut season in the Premier League.

He is being frozen out, despite Bournemouth initially wanting to keep him. Instead, he is in talks with Udinese about a free transfer to the Italian side.

That will mean Newcastle miss out, but he likely wasn’t one of Howe’s top targets. If he were to arrive, it would surely only be as a squad player.

With the Magpies on course to qualify for the Champions League, the recruitment team will be looking to bring in a top class left-back who can really improve the already impressive Newcastle defence. Kieran Tierney appears to be the top target.
