Newcastle United are very keen to add to their attack in the summer with their lack of depth having been exposed multiple times this season.
One player who has been on their radar the last few months is Juventus’ Matias Soule who has been enjoying a successful loan spell at fellow Serie A side Frosinone this season.
Despite previously being told that £26m would be enough to secure the talented winger, a new report from Calciomercato now claims that Juventus have raised the price to around £34m if they are to sell him this summer.
Attacker will now cost Newcastle £8m more
Soule was not guaranteed playing time at Juventus so was sent out on loan to Frosinone where has really developed well and has now netted 10 goals in Serie A as well as providing four assists.
It’s understood that the Old Lady do not plan on keeping the ‘impressive‘ 20-year-old attacker and instead will look to cash in on him this summer with several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, interested.
Aston Villa are also believed to be looking to sign the Argentinian giving Newcastle some tough competition as it’s looking like they may be able to offer him Champions League football next season.
Newcastle are likely to have more to spend this summer than they did in January but it remains to be seen whether this jump in price has now put the Geordies off of signing the exciting attacker.

Newcastle need more goals up top
This season Newcastle have struggled to find someone who is fairly prolific on the right side of their attack with both Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy only scoring a combined five goals this season.
It’s clear that Newcastle will be looking to upgrade that position in the summer, but whether they want someone more experienced both in European competitions and in England is still unclear.
What the young attacker can bring to Newcastle is the ability to create his own space, work his way out of tight spaces and a tendency to cut in on his left foot.
Rarely will Newcastle get a chance to sign a promising attacker like this for what is still a relatively cheap fee, but Juventus’ financial issues could be hugely beneficial to the North East club this summer.
