Newcastle United will reportedly have to smash their transfer record to sign Lucas Paqueta this summer.
The Brazilian attacker was linked with the Magpies in January, with the Toon reportedly launching a £34million bid. However, it was rejected by Lyon.
But Newcastle did sign one Brazilian from the Ligue 1 side earlier in the year. Bruno Guimaraes arrived for a fee that could rise to £42million.
The 24-year-old has been a star since his big money move, dazzling on his first St James’ Park start last time out.

Guimaraes is the present and the future for Newcastle, but could he be reunited with one of his best footballing friends this summer?
£58million to bring Lucas Paqueta to Newcastle
Bruno and Paqueta formed a brilliant friendship at Lyon. That friendship has continued, despite the former now residing on Tyneside.
The pair are often seen interacting on social media, toasting each other’s achievements.

Bruno scored his first Toon goal last month against Southampton, netting a stunning backheel volley. It dazzled everyone, including Paqueta.
In response to his message on Twitter, Bruno told the Lyon ace: “I love you!! You are my best friend for life. I miss you.”
If the pair are to be reunited this summer at St James’ Park, it’s going to cost the Magpies a lot of money.
According to the Chronicle, Lyon have set their asking price for Paqueta at £58million. That’s more than Newcastle have ever paid for a player.

But Paqueta could possibly be worth it. He’s played 31 times for Brazil, and still has room for improvement at the age of 24.
We saw during the recent international break how Bruno and Paqueta can link up. It would look even better if they were doing it in a black and white shirt.
Paqueta would be a brilliant signing for Newcastle, but he won’t come cheap.
