Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes produced a wonderful performance last night for Brazil.
The 24-year-old featured in the 4-0 win against Bolivia, and managed to score his first ever goal for his country.

Bruno played a full game, and completed 62/70 passes (89%). He also won 5/11 duels.
The star really thrived featuring as a deep-lying playmaker alongside Liverpool’s Fabinho.
It was particularly interesting to note what a good understanding Bruno had with Lucas Paqueta, who played as a number 10.
Of course, Bruno played with Paqueta at Lyon, and it seems there is naturally a very good chemistry there.
In the first-half, Bruno broke between a couple of Bolivia players before releasing a lovely ball through another defender’s legs for Paqueta to latch onto and finish.
In the second-half, Paqueta returned the favour to Bruno, clipping a ball through to him for the Newcastle ace to volley home first time.

It was interesting to watch them play with one another, because Newcastle were actually also linked with Paqueta earlier this year.
Le10 Sport claimed that Newcastle actually saw a bid rejected for the 24-year-old.
Newcastle obviously went on to sign Bruno at the end of January. But perhaps the club would be wise to make a fresh attempt to sign Paqueta this summer. They clearly play well together and have a good understanding.
Lucas Paqueta might be worth keeping tabs on for Newcastle, as he shows lovely link-up with Bruno Guimaraes for Brazil
Newcastle’s current midfield options are quite strong. But there could well be room to add another, especially a player who is naturally more attacking.
Arguably right now, the Magpies don’t have anyone that is purely an attacking midfielder. It’s just box-to-box stars and holding players.
Paqueta has nine goals and five assists so far this term for Lyon.

He’s clearly someone who can make things happen in the final third. And potentially, he could thrive playing just ahead of Bruno.
He’d potentially be quite expensive since he has a contract until 2025. But Newcastle might just feel his quality and potential would be worth a big fee.
