Newcastle United have been informed of Alexander Isak’s possibility of leaving the club this summer, and Liverpool fans think it means one thing.
After Eddie Howe’s decision to leave him at home for the pre-season defeat to Celtic, many believed he would be one of the first names on the squad list for the trip to Singapore and South Korea.
Sadly, that is not the case, and Alexander Isak will stay in Newcastle after suffering a thigh injury. The problem is not believed to be serious, but a long-haul flight puts him at risk of aggravating the problem.
Howe was convinced Isak was going to be travelling to Singapore, but concerns arose when Isak was seen training alone in Newcastle.
Now, it has been confirmed that Isak has asked to leave Newcastle amid serious interest from Liverpool.
Alan Shearer was shocked at Isak’s omission, and will be more surprised at the 25-year-old’s request to leave. In the meantime, Liverpool fans are convinced something is in the water after the news.

Liverpool fans think Alexander Isak is signing for them after Newcastle United transfer call
Isak is subject to serious interest from Liverpool. The Reds are keen on securing his signature but have been met with a resounding ‘no’ from Newcastle.
Despite that, Liverpool fans still think Isak will be one of their players by the end of the summer.
“Now we should go all out on Isak.” said one Liverpool fan, while another added: “He’s avoiding injuries for his Liverpool medical.”
This Liverpool fan is seemingly unaware of the long-haul flight risks, saying: “If Isak is truly injured, he would have just travelled anyway if he is happy in the squad and do all media duties and commercial stuff. This is exactly the same manner that Coutinho did all these years ago.”
“Liverpool must make their move and go in for him now.” said this optimistic Liverpool fan.
Another Liverpool fan added: “Isak to Liverpool… HERE WE GO.”
Finally, this Liverpool fan said: “Alexander Isak, please force a move to Liverpool and push for it now.”

When Alexander Isak could next feature for Newcastle United
Losing Isak for the Asia tour is undoubtedly a big blow for Howe and Newcastle. Not only does it mean he is lacking in match sharpness, but it also keeps the transfer speculation alive.
The Swede will not be available for Newcastle’s next pre-season games, but there will be hope he can feature in their final two pre-season games at St James’ Park.
Newcastle take on Espanyol on Friday, 8 August, before a Sela Cup clash against Atletico Madrid, one of their potential Champions League opponents next season.
However, with Isak now confirming his intentions to leave Newcastle, it remains to be seen whether he will even feature.
In an ideal world, Newcastle will have Isak available and a couple of new signings getting their first games at St James’ Park. Yoane Wissa is in talks to join Newcastle this summer, so there is a chance he could feature for at least one of the games.
Elsewhere, Howe wants a new centre-back and would not mind another goalkeeper ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
