Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope is attracting transfer interest from Leeds United.
Daniel Farke’s side are joining Newcastle United in the Premier League next season, having won the Championship title to end their stay in the second tier.
They are looking for reinforcements ahead of their battle to avoid relegation, with Toon goalkeeper Nick Pope on their radar.
It has been reported that Leeds are interested in Pope, and that he could be available if James Trafford arrives, with the Magpies set to make a move for the 22-year-old.
Given how well he has done in 2025, it would be a surprise if Pope were to leave St James’ Park. Eddie Howe will surely want to keep Pope, having seen the 33-year-old play a key role in the Magpies’ success.
As for Leeds United, their fans have given their verdict on the prospect of Pope arriving at Elland Road.

Leeds United fans react to Nick Pope interest
It is fair to say that Leeds United fans are extremely positive about the possibility of signing Pope from Newcastle United.
They have reacted to the rumour on X (formerly known as Twitter), and are very keen for the England international to head to West Yorkshire.
“This would be a great addition,” wrote one fan.
A second Leeds supporter added: “Keepers are in their prime at 33, unlike outfield players. Depending on the transfer fee, he would be a good addition.”
This fan is eager for Pope to arrive, and predicted what it could mean for the club: “Would love him at Leeds to be honest. Might attract bigger names to the club as well.”
Another supporter backed Leeds’ interest in Pope, writing: “The kind of player we need. Solid player for the short term. Keep us up for two years and then sign better to replace him.”
“Nick Pope would be absolutely perfect for us,” commented this Leeds fan.
Finally, a sixth supporter wrote: “Nick Pope ticks all the right boxes. Zero risk signing, vastly experienced GK is what we need. Get it done.”
Leeds United interested in multiple Newcastle United players
Pope is not the only Newcastle United player who Leeds are interested in signing.
It has previously been claimed that Leeds want to sign Sean Longstaff.
The 27-year-old is out of favour at St James’ Park, despite previously being a guaranteed starter under Eddie Howe. His future will be a major topic this summer, with Longstaff expected to leave Newcastle United.
Leeds United are interested in Callum Wilson too, as they aim to add an experienced goalscorer to their squad following promotion.
The 33-year-old is available on a free transfer, with his Toon contract due to expire at the end of June. Wilson is in talks to sign a new Newcastle deal, but a move away remains likely.
