Jack Grealish believes Newcastle United transfer target Alex Scott is a ‘top talent’ after Manchester City faced Bristol City in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

Pep Guardiola’s side won 3-0 at Ashton Gate, but the Man City boss was very impressed with Scott‘s performance and described him as a ‘talented player‘.

The Spaniard wasn’t the only high profile figure who Scott caught the eye of, as Grealish took to Twitter after the game to heap praise on the 19-year-old.

Jack Grealish’s message to Alex Scott

After the game, ITV’s Twitter account uploaded a video of Scott’s post-match interview where he discussed his side’s FA Cup exit. He also admitted that Grealish is his favourite player.

The England international and Miguel Almiron motivator then replied to the tweet, and sent a kind message to the teenage midfielder.

In response to the Scott video, Grealish wrote: “Top top talent.”

It was a kind message from Grealish to Scott, who has actually been likened to the £100million star. They have a similar dribbling style, and Scott looks like someone who is destined for the Premier League.

He is shining for the Robins right now, and has 39 appearances in all competitions this season. He has scored once and provided five assists.

Scott is an exciting player to watch, and could go on to have a great future in the game. He can cut open a defence with his vision and weight of pass, and is only going to get better given his age.

Newcastle want to sign the midfielder

That is why so many clubs are looking to sign him – including Newcastle. It has been reported by the Sun that the Magpies are interested in bringing Scott to St James’ Park. He could reportedly cost as much as £25million.

It would be a signing with Dan Ashworth’s fingerprints all over, as he is always looking for young stars who can develop into future first team regulars.

Scott has the potential to do just that, and he has the seal of approval from Jack Grealish.
