Newcastle United are one of the clubs that are looking to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer, who Gary Lineker believes is an incredible talent.
Match Of The Day host Lineker has commented on Newcastle transfer target Kvaratskhelia, and believes he is so good that people will soon know how to spell his name with ease.
The 22-year-old is enjoying a remarkable season with Napoli, where he is establishing himself as one of the most exciting attackers in Europe.
Kvaratskhelia is propelling Napoli to the Serie A title, while they are also turning heads in the Champions League. He has struck up an incredible partnership with Victor Osimhen, helping make Napoli probably the best team to watch in Europe right now.
What Gary Lineker has said about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Lineker has been in the headlines after tweeting about the government’s recent immigration bill. His assessment of the Conservative’s plans saw him suspended from Match Of The Day at the weekend, which led to his BBC colleagues stepping down in protest.

The show was broadcast on Saturday night, but with no presenter, pundits or commentators. In short, it was rubbish.
Following the outrage, Lineker will now be allowed to work for the BBC again.
His tweet last week got him in trouble, but his latest message about Kvaratskhelia will only be a concern for Napoli fans who are hoping to keep hold of the talented winger.
In response to an interview with Kvaratskhelia in the New York Times, Lineker wrote: “Remember the name. He’s that good that eventually we’ll all know how to spell it.”
He might be too good for Newcastle now
Newcastle fans might need to learn how to say and spell ‘Kvaratskhelia’ very soon. That is because he is being linked with a move to St James’ Park.
The Times reported last year that PIF wanted to sign the Georgia international, and the rumours have since continued. It has been claimed that Eddie Howe believes he would be a great fit at St James’ Park.
However, he could also have interest from Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been linked, and they will feel as if they have a major advantage – beyond simply being the biggest club in the world.
Kvaratskhelia’s agent has admitted that his client is a Real Madrid fan, while the man himself has stated that former Los Blancos star Guti was his idol growing up. The Spaniard has since told Kvaratskhelia to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Newcastle will struggle to beat Real Madrid to his signature, which would mean Lineker doesn’t have to learn how to say his name for BBC Match Of The Day anytime soon.
