A new winger appears to be on the agenda for Newcastle United this summer.
While Anthony Gordon arrived at the club during the January transfer window, it seems Eddie Howe wants more options in that particular position.
Indeed, Newcastle have been linked with the likes of Harvey Barnes and Moussa Diaby recently.

Allan Saint-Maximin’s future at St James’ Park is far from certain amid suggestions he could be the latest name to head to Saudi Arabia.
With that in mind, the signing of a new winger makes a lot of sense.
But what of a player in that position Newcastle have already tried to sign?
Everton now interested in move for Jack Harrison
Jack Harrison of Leeds has long been linked with a move to Newcastle.
In fact, the club reportedly made a move to sign the 26-year-old on deadline day in January.
Now, however, The Athletic say Everton are keen on Harrison, who is expected to leave Elland Road following relegation to the Championship.
The report does reference Newcastle’s previous interest in the player, as well as that of Tottenham’s. The same outlet also described how Howe “really” liked the idea of signing him last year.
Still, it seems there will be quite the battle to land him this summer.

Newcastle seem to be looking elsewhere
It would be hard to imagine any player picking Everton over Newcastle at the moment.
Still, it might not come to that for Harrison.
With Barnes, Diaby and Federico Chiesa consistently linked with moves to St James’ Park, it seems they are the options Newcastle are going with at the moment.
Given Harrison hardly covered himself in glory last season, it’s not difficult to imagine why that would be the case too.
The Harrison to Newcastle ship appears to have sailed.
