The January transfer window is going to be all about incomings for Newcastle United given their ongoing injury crisis.
While there will be some players who are linked with a move away from St James’ Park, the Magpies’ primary focus will be reinforcing a squad that has been decimated by injuries in recent weeks.
Luckily, it sounds like Eddie Howe will be able to strengthen his squad in January, with Newcastle set to have funds available for new signings.
However, there are still some players who will not be allowed to leave the club due to the situation that they currently find themselves in.
That includes potential loan exits, which brings us to Lewis Miley.

Newcastle will not loan out Lewis Miley
According to iNews, Lewis Miley is one player who Newcastle absolutely will not allow to leave on loan during the January transfer window.
The report states that the 17-year-old is attracting interest from multiple clubs within the Football League. However, any temporary move is off the table as long as the club continue to struggle with injuries.
Those injuries have led to Miley getting more minutes. He made his Champions League debut before the international break, while he also received his first ever Premier League start.
Newcastle really need the ‘little superstar‘ right now, so it would be unwise for him to go out on loan – even if it would result in him gaining vital experience.
The Magpies’ Miley stance has not changed since the summer, when Eddie Howe made it perfectly clear that the teenager was going nowhere.
He decided that Miley was too young to go out on loan, and that he would be better served working with the Newcastle first-team.
That decision has paid off, as Miley is now more important than ever. He could receive his first ever Premier League start at St James’ Park on Saturday, with Miley in line to retain his place in the XI for the game against Chelsea.
