Newcastle United are in a position where they can spend well in the upcoming transfer window.
Fans have been left frustrated by the lack of arrivals over the last two seasons, with very few players coming through the door to improve Eddie Howe’s starting XI.
Lewis Hall signed a permanent deal with Newcastle United last summer, while players like William Osula and Odysseas Vlachodimos have barely been seen on the pitch in comparison to their teammates in the same positions.
Alongside those players, Lloyd Kelly joined Newcastle on a free transfer but was loaned out to Juventus soon after, having made just 10 appearances.
Life at Juventus has been tough for Kelly, with Italian media slating the 26-year-old for some of his performances under previous manager Thiago Motta. However, things have recently picked up under now boss, Igor Tudor.
Kelly is set to join Juventus permanently this summer on the condition that they qualify for one of the three European competitions, but the Magpies may look to sign one of their own in return.
A Juventus star who seems to have fallen out of favour at the Old Lady has been linked with a move to Tyneside. A recent transfer report has suggested exactly how much Newcastle must pay in wages to sign him.

Newcastle United learn Dusan Vlahovic wage demands
The Magpies are in need of a striker this summer, with Osula not trusted by Eddie Howe and longstanding player Callum Wilson’s contract nearing expiry.
Reports have stated that Newcastle are interested in Vlahovic, who is believed to be ready to leave Juventus after signing in 2022.
The Serbian international has enjoyed a decent season in Serie A, scoring nine goals and bagging four assists, showing he can perform at a high level in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Newcastle can sign Vlahovic for £30m this summer, but according to Calciomercato, it will be his wage demands that will make the deal a lot more expensive.
The report suggests that Newcastle are one of the few teams that will be able to afford Vlahovic’s wage demands. The 25-year-old is currently earning £ 213,000-a-week at Juventus and is likely to want similar at his new club.
The report also states that Newcastle boss Howe ‘would be happy’ to sign a name like Vlahovic.
His wage demands would see him become Newcastle’s highest earner, overtaking Bruno Guimaraes‘ £160,000-a-week.
Dusan Vlahovic wages could disturb Alexander Isak contract talks
While Newcastle should be able to afford Vlahovic’s high wage demands, it could cause problems for the club further down the line.
Newcastle want to give Alexander Isak a new deal, but the Swede is keen on a wage rise of his own before signing. Isak wants to be Newcastle’s highest earner if he signs a new deal. The 25-year-old currently earns £120,000-a-week but would be given a significant wage increase if he signed a new deal.

As well as the wage increased, Isak wants Champions League football, which he should receive with Newcastle, given how they are ending the season.
Rumours around the 25-year-old’s future have persisted since the January transfer window, but with his contract not due to expire for another three years, there is no hurry to give him a new deal.
