Newcastle United transfer target Dean Huijsen is likely to be a man in demand this summer.
Indeed, Huijsen has impressed since joining from Bournemouth from Juventus back in July. Now a fully-fledged Spanish international too, the 19-year-old looks set for big things amid interest from Newcastle United.
The defender, of course, could yet stay on the south coast after a fine season for the Cherries.
However, the Spanish international continues to be linked with big-money moves elsewhere.
Newcastle are interested in Huijsen, albeit competition looks fierce for his signature.
Real Madrid have also been linked with Huijsen, given his standing as one of Europe’s most promising young central defenders.
If it were to come down to a straight shootout between the two, Madrid would perhaps represent a more attractive move at this stage. Huijsen is open to a move to Spain and the idea of playing for the European champions must be an exciting one.
Still, the teenage defender has now been warned that joining Los Blancos at this stage of his career may not be the best choice.

Dean Huijsen warned against making Real Madrid move
Speaking to The Sun, former Malaga coach Juan Gutierrez was full of praise for the Bournemouth star.
Gutierrez was on the coaching staff at Malaga during Huijsen’s early days there, before he joined Juventus in 2021.
While Gutierrez believes the teenage prodigy has “unlimited self-confidence”, he suggested that the fact both Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao are “untouchable” in Madrid’s team would make life difficult for Huijsen.
Militao is injured of course but David Alaba offers star-studded back-up, while Raul Asencio has also risen to prominence under Carlo Ancelotti this season.
To that end, Gutierrez believes Huijsen may struggle for game time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“Dean is going to be a leader no matter where he goes, so I hope whoever signs him they play him as a starter, and he’s not a project for the future. He is a player for now,” he said.
“There are very few like that at his age, which is why I don’t know to what extent it would be a good option to sign for Real.”
Dean Huijsen transfer has already been confirmed
Bournemouth will surely hope to keep the defender, particularly if they qualify for European football.
While they would appear to be under little pressure to sell, however, it seems one of their other key players has already dropped a major transfer hint.
Teammate Justin Kluivert has claimed Huijsen will leave Bournemouth in 2025, such is the level of interest in the player.
“I’m sure he will have a lot of offers in the summer,” he told Marca. “And we all know that next year he won’t be with us at Bournemouth.”
With that in mind, the race looks to be on.
